As of July 10th, 2012 we are proud to announce that Elite Crew LLC is the world’s first Yacht Crew Placement Agency to be MLC 2006 Certified. After an intense auditing process by the DNV GL, Elite Crew LLC received approval for voluntary certification of Crew Manning Offices and Private Recruitment and Placement Services (MLC 2006, part 1.4)
What is MLC 2006?
The International Labour Organization (ILO) has adopted the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC 2006). A Maritime Labour Certificate (MLC) and a Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance (DMLC) will be required to ensure compliance with the Convention for all ships above 500 tons in international trade, unless otherwise instructed by the Flagged State.
